When you become a client: the contact and billing details needed to provide our services, and access details for accounts you ask us to work on.
When you visit the website: our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

How we use your information

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
To provide services to clients. Our lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you.
To keep business and accounting records. Our lawful basis is compliance with our legal obligations.
To send occasional marketing emails, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider and accounting software, and with professional advisers where necessary. They may only use it to provide their services to us. If any information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after our work ends, to meet tax and legal requirements.

Cookies

This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address so it can deliver the font files. If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct, delete or restrict it. You can also object to how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. To make a request, email hello@bizgrey.com.
